A LESSON FOR ALL THE COACHES
Coaching & Training is quite a skillful art
Here is a great lesson that you can adopt to take your coaching & training skills to the next level and bring out the best in your clients.
A great story from Michael Neill …
Once a man came to me and said, “It’s about time I grow up and take responsibility of my life.” He continued, “I could join my dad’s store and help him around. I need to get mature and serious about my life”
We spent some time exploring this outcome with him. But, I wasn’t feeling quite right about where the session was heading. Halfway through I interrupted him and asked him to quickly fill up a form that will help me get better clarity on what was missing.
I looked at all the details and after a while, I realised what I was missing. I noticed his full name. Steve Jobs.
If Steve Jobs came to you and asked to help him “Grow up” so that he can join his dad’s store, what would you do?
Treat all your clients to their maximum potential. Operate as if they are already all they can be. You will notice a magical change in the way your sessions go.
So, how does know this change your approach to coaching? What would you differently from now onwards?
